Project Outline New build project in Athlone, Co. Westmeath

This impressive new build home was built as part of the Loch Luatha Estate. The house has been built on part of the Mount Temple golf course, only a few miles outside of Athlone.

The Grant team carried out room by room heat loss calculations on receipt of the planning drawings, which enabled the technical specialists to design a bespoke heating system for the home in line with the calculated 15kW heat load.

The heating system specified includes a 17kW Aerona3 R32 air to water air source heat pump, which heats a 300l A-rated pre-plumbed cylinder for domestic hot water needs, with a 50l volumiser. Highly efficient Grant Afinia aluminium radiators have also been fitted throughout the house.

Thomas Nooney was the installer on this job, Tommy is highly experienced in this area, having fitted many Grant heat pumps throughout Ireland. Tommy installed this custom-built heating system complete with heating controls which include EPH room stats and motorised valves.
