Biomass Wood Pellet Boilers
Reduce your fuel bill
With a condensing Wood Pellet Boiler
With home heating costs soaring ever higher, householders across Ireland are being urged to ensure that their central heating systems are working efficiently. This is because poor performance from your boiler can add hundreds of euros to your annual home heating costs.
The Grant Condensing Spira Wood Pellet Boiler is the first condensing woodpellet boiler that is EU approved with efficiencies up to 97% gross and is an alternative to oil, gas or solid fuel and can reduce your fuel bill by up to 46%.
Every homeowner in Ireland is aware of condensing boilers and if you were installing an oil boiler you wouldn’t dare install a non condensing boiler (from December 2013 standard efficiency boilers are no longer available or manufactured) so why would you fit out dated technology in woodpellet.
The highly efficient Grant Spira Condensing Wood Pellet Boilers utilises Grant’s award winning patented stainless steel turbulator baffle system, which is featured in Vortex Condensing oil-fired boilers. The units are available in outputs of 6-26kW with an efficiency of 97.4% gross, and 9-36kW with an efficiency of 93.1% gross. They come complete with a 110kg pellet store/hopper, which automatically supplies the Spira with fuel.
It is important to note that in other modern pellet boilers, up to 20% of the energy that is produced is lost to the atmosphere through waste gases exhausted by the flue system. The Spira has a unique secondary condensing heat exchanger which has been designed to capture most of this lost latent heat energy, so it can maintain extremely high efficiencies. The boiler’s cleaning system will periodically wash the condensing unit of any debris in the tubes and also activate the brazier within the burner to clear the combustion head of ash build up, which reduces maintenance time.
The Spira woodpellet boiler is completely renewable, environmentally friendly, safe, and convenient, and covers Ireland’s renewable obligations for both new build and retro fit houses.
The Spira woodpellet boiler is MCS approved (accredited of woodpellet boilers could also enable you to qualify for a grant of up to £2,500). The Spria woodpellet boiler is also RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) approved for domestic applications and details will be announced early in 2014. (These incentives are only available in Northern Ireland).
Renowned boiler manufacturer Grant Engineering are leading the way in ensuring that homes across Ireland can access the latest costeffective, top-quality, hi-tech and environmentally friendly range of efficient heating solutions.
The Grant ‘Spira’ boiler differs from traditional solid fuel boilers in that the units are fully automatic and behaves more like an oil or gas boiler, using advanced controls, which cleverly regulate the amount of fuel being delivered to the burner to match the heat demand on the boiler.
There is no requirement for a buffer tank with the Grant Spira and the boilers cleaning system will periodically wash the condensing unit of any debris in the tubes which reduces maintenance time.
The Grant Engineering Spira woodpellet boilers covers Part L of the building regulations ( 10kWh/m2/annum contributing to energy use for domestic hot water heating and space heating) for renewable energy.
The Spira will heat both your domestic hot water and heating for your house without the need for any other heat source making it an extremely attractive way of heating a new build house to comply with Part L.
Grant Spira Wood Pellet Boilers must only be fitted and commissioned by a heating installer who has been fully trained and approved by Grant.
