Grant attends SEAI Energy Show

A key date in our exhibition calendar, the SEAI Energy Show 2019 was a resounding success and brought together key professionals and manufacturers within the energy industry over two days at the RDS Arena in Dublin.

With an ever-growing focus on sustainability and clean energy solutions, exhibitors and attendees alike had a common goal of showcasing and discussing highly efficient renewable energy products and services from across Ireland and further afield.

This year, in addition to our ever-popular high efficiency range of Vortex condensing oil boilers and our Aerona3 air source heat pumps, the Grant team also displayed the new R32 13kW air source heat pump and Grant Solo and Grant Afinia radiator ranges – the most recent additions to our ever-growing portfolio of heating solutions.

With an impressive 4,000+ plus attendees at the show, members of the Grant team had a busy two days with visitors showing a particularly strong interest in the Aerona3 air source heat pump range. With an ErP rating of A++, the Aerona3 is a highly efficient heating solution which can deliver up to four times the amount of energy for every 1kW of electricity used and can also help to meet Part L compliance for new builds in the Republic of Ireland.

Speaking about the event, Barry Gorman from the Grant Technical Team said, “The SEAI Energy Show is always an important exhibition for us as we understand that the focus on sustainable practice and best energy efficient solutions continues to rise year on year.

“We had a lot of interest in our new A+++ 13kW R32 air source heat pump model which features R32 refrigerant gas that holds a significantly lower global warming potential (GWP) than other typical heat pump refrigerants. We look forward to the introduction of this R32 gas into all models within the Aerona3 heat pump range within the coming months. These models are a great option for those wishing to integrate renewable technology into a property.”

Grant enjoys another successful ISH exhibition

The Grant team recently returned from the ISH exhibition in Messe Frankfurt, one of the world’s leading exhibitions that provides a focus on responsible water and energy management.

During this five-day internationally recognised event, a real emphasis was placed on how we – individually and collectively as a society – can improve our efficient energy usage and provided the opportunity for companies to showcase their latest technologies and solutions to visitors of the exhibition.

The ISH exhibition provided a great platform for our team to demonstrate our continued commitment to providing the heating and manufacturing industries with some of the highest-quality innovations available. This is the second time we have attended the event and this year we returned with a larger stand which incorporated our range of products from the latest modulating oil technology and biomass boilers, right through to our highly-efficient Aerona3 air source heat pump range, VortexAir Hybrid models and latest range of heat emitters.

Also on display during the exhibition was our new 13kW R32 air source heat pump model which incorporates the more environmentally-friendly R32 refrigerant gas. The R32 refrigerant has a considerably lower global warming potential (GWP) than other typical heat pump refrigerants and complies with upcoming legislative targets outlined in the 2014 EU Fluorinated Greenhouse Gas Regulations.

Speaking about the event Barry Gorman, Grant Technical Team, said, “ISH is an excellent exhibition that provides us with the opportunity to showcase the very best of our products to key representatives within the industry and on this occasion, our brand-new prototype. This latest product offering represents an exciting development for Grant and demonstrates the steps we continuously make to ensure we are bringing a forward-thinking approach to the renewable heating sector.

“This biennial event presents a hub of energy-conscious integrated solutions and brings together some of the industry’s most exciting innovations and concepts, all of which will shape the future of the heating industry, and we are very pleased to have been part of it.”

This year the ISH exhibition saw great attendance with over 2,500 companies from 57 different countries exhibiting and nearly 50% of the 190,000 visitors present flying to Germany to attend. Our team, alongside others within the industry are already looking ahead to the ISH 2021 exhibition which has already been confirmed to return to Frankfurt from 22nd-26th March 2021.

Grant introduces new model to air source heat pump range

We’re pleased to announce that we have expanded our Aerona3 air source heat pump range (ASHP) following the launch of a new 13kW model which incorporates R32 refrigerant. The Aerona3 R32 heat pump uses a more environmentally-friendly refrigerant which provides cleaner operation whilst continuing to deliver its renowned excellent performance.

Delivering an ErP rating of A+++, the Aerona3 R32 meets the growing demand for more environmentally-friendly heating products. The 2014 EU Fluorinated Greenhouse Gas (F-Gas) Regulations is legislation designed to phase out the use of hydro-fluorocarbons, with the introduction of a series of targets which are designed to limit the use of gases which have the highest Global Warming Potential (GWP). The R32 refrigerant featured in our latest 12kW model has a GWP which is considerably lower than other typical heat pump refrigerants, therefore complying with the upcoming legislative targets.

The Aerona³ R32 heat pump is not just a greener heat pump – it also has the familiar features that installers have come to associate with our Aerona3 range. The new model is a single phase, DC inverter driven ASHP incorporating in-built weather compensation and a base tray heating element to prevent ice formation, features that it shares with the existing models in the Aerona³ range. Monoblock in design, the Aerona³ R32 is suitable for use with S-Plan heating control systems and is simple to work with for installation and maintenance.

Those wishing to incorporate green technology such as an Aerona3 ASHP into a new property can also take advantage of our free of charge heat loss calculations. This service can be availed of by emailing your project plans to heatpump@grantengineering.ie.

The Aerona³ R32 model has a compact footprint and operates with low noise levels. It therefore has minimal impact on its surroundings both aesthetically and acoustically, something which is of great benefit to our customers. The heat pump is also available with a guarantee of up to 5 years (subject to full T&Cs and status). We understand the growing importance of environmentally-friendly and sustainable home heating and with the introduction of R32 gas into our heat pump offering, we are helping our customers lower their carbon footprint whilst enjoying the higher efficiency outputs and cleaner operation that our heat pumps champion. The introduction of R32 gas into our entire range of air source heat pumps is just one of many exciting developments in the pipeline over the coming months!
