Grant oil boilers champion EU compliance

Thanks to advances in burner technology and our efficient boiler designs, our entire range of Vortex condensing oil boilers are fully compliant with the next phase of the European Union’s Energy-Related Products Directive. The new legislation, set to come into effect in September this year, will set maximum nitrogen oxides (NOx) emission levels that space heaters will need to meet, reducing the overall, NOx emissions produced from heating. Seeking to improve air quality via a reduction in pollution, the legislation has outlined a NOx emissions target with a maximum of 120mg/kWh.

The Grant Vortex low NOx models include utility, outdoor modules, boiler house, combi and wall hung boilers all of which incorporate this new low NOx technology. The majority of components within the burners like fuel pumps, motors and control boxes remain the same as before, delivering continuity and familiarity for installers and engineers.

This latest product development once again demonstrates how Grant boilers meet the needs of the evolving market place well in advance of new legislation and changes.

Think Boilers. Think Grant.

Grant highlights innovative heating solutions at Plumbex 2018

Visitors of the 2018 Plumbex Trade Show had the opportunity to view Grant’s range of home heating solutions, all of which are designed with efficiency, reliability and value for money in mind. The two-day event, which took placed in the CityWest Hotel in Dublin, offered the perfect opportunity for an insight into the latest plumbing and heating trends available on the market and showcased state-of-the-art heating solutions available for both new build and retrofit projects.

Proving popular at the show was Grant’s range of Vortex condensing oil boilers available in utility, wall hung, combi, boiler house and external models, offering homeowners greater choice and flexibility. The range, which features Grant’s innovative and award-winning heat exchanger, also recently received a coveted Which? Best Buy oil boiler 2017 award. Also, on stand over the two days was Grant’s innovative VortexAir Hybrid and range of highly efficient Aerona3 inverter driven air source heat pumps (ASHP) which are perfectly suited for those building a new home or retrofitting as they can help meet Part L obligations outlined in building regulations.

The Technical team at Grant offers free of charge heat loss calculations for the VortexAir Hybrid and Aerona3 ASHP, helping owners select the right model to suit their home. To avail of this service email your project plans to heatpump@grantengineering.ie.

Visitors with an interest in the Aerona3 ASHP range, available in outputs of 6kW, 10kW and 16kW, were also reminded of the Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland’s recently announced grant which offers up to €3,500 for air to water heat pumps.
